Interim North American Controller

Updated: Jul 23, 2021

Our client, a multi-billion dollar spinoff from a Fortune 500 company, had to quickly build out a new accounting department. They needed top talent to run the accounting function while going through the building process, while at the same time address a variety of urgent internal projects.

Our Solution

Orion Solutions provided a highly experienced accounting executive who had leadership experience through multiple M&A and divestiture activities. The consultant took over as the interim controller for the North America business and assumed responsibility for several key projects.

Client Outcome

Orion Solutions executive restructured the North American accounting functions, drove the rationalization of shared accounting services in Costa Rica, and completed the ASC 606 revenue recognition project. The consultant also led the team that automated the account reconciliation process and consolidated more than 10 ERP reporting systems down to one. This was all done while also managing day to day controller responsibilities until the client was able to hire a permanent controller.
